Our own Phil Mickelson Wins Tour Championship! September 29, 2009--Once again, we have one of our own winning a big event on the PGA Tour. This time, Phil Mickelson played magnificently and won the Tour Championship, the final event of the FedEx Cup. He also ended the year in second place in the FedEx Cup standings. "The thing is I've been working so hard with Butch and I've hit the ball so well, and yet my scores haven't reflected that," said Mickelson during the week of the Tour Championship. "And now you're starting to see the distance that I've increased, the accuracy, not so far off fairways, the iron shots, all the stuff that Butch and I have worked on, you'll start to see the results because the putter is now where it should be."

Cink Credits Harmon for Open Win! Stewart Cink walked to the 18th at Turnberry on his 72nd hole of the 2009 Open Championship and drained a birdie putt to post a 2-under par score. Awhile later, Tom Watson approached that same green at 3-under par, but made bogey and allowed Cink to get into a 4-hole playoff. About 45 minutes later, Cink had beaten Watson and made off with the Claret Jug, playing the part of the villian in this Watson fairy tale. And then Cink named his accomplices during the post-round speech and heading the list was Las Vegas golf's Butch Harmon, who operates the Butch Harmon School of Golf at Las Vegas golf course Rio Secco Golf Club.
