2015 PGA TOUR Season Off To Great Start With Wins By Walker, Snedeker, Johnson

Tuesday, 17 March 2015 12:56

The 2014-15 PGA TOUR season is off to a great start for several of the pros who work with Butch Harmon. Jimmie Walker won the Sony Open, Brandt Snedeker won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, and Dustin Johnson won the WGC-Cadillac Championship. Snedeker started working with Harmon in 2014 and the results are already impressive. He has the win plus three more top 10 finishes and is 10th on the FedEx Cup standings. He finished the previous season 86th in the standings, was winless and had only three top 10 finishes for the entire year. Snedeker is very happy with the results.

"Butch did a great job of kind of helping me understand how I swing the golf club, what I need to do to be successful," Snedeker told PGATOUR.com writer Helen Ross after the win at AT&T. "The great thing about Butch is he's not technical at all. He instills confidence in you when you don't even realize he's doing it. We might have a three-hour practice session and he might say one thing about my swing and 15 things about the mental side of it or what you should be thinking in certain situations or what he learned from Seve or Tiger or anybody else. He's got all these little nuggets that are great that come in handy on days like today."

En route to the win, Snedeker made 23 birdies and only one bogey.

Johnson's game is also at a very high level already in 2015. In just five tournaments this season, he has three top 5 finishes and is 4th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Walker has four top 10 finishes in nine events this season and is ranked first in the FedEx Cup standings.
