Jimmy Walker, who has worked with Butch Harmon on his swing for about four years, won his first major title at the PGA Championship. It was his sixth PGA Tour victory over all, each coming after he started working with Harmon. Congratulations, Jimmy!
Soon after the victory at Baltusrol in New Jersey, Walker and his wife, Erin, flew to Las Vegas to celebrate. Among those in the celebration party was Butch. Ever since the first time the two worked together, Butch knew Walker could and would win a major. And heading into the PGA Championship, Harmon was confident the tournament could be his time to win.
“He’s swinging really good,” Harmon told GolfDigest.com. “He didn’t need a lot of work.”
Once again, congratulations Jimmy!
