If you become nervous when staring down a tree-lined fairway, often making a bad swing and mishitting the shot, change your "outlook." Imagine a big hula hoop about five feet in front of you that you are going to hit the ball through. This task is a heck of a lot simpler than focusing on a target some 220 yards down the fairway. For this reason, you'll be super-relaxed when you look back down at the ball, make a good swing and, coincidentally, hit your distant target.
